21 Day Fast - 1st Commandment Focus

The 1st Commandment Fast: Jan 9-30 2010

Starting Sunday, January 9th we will begin a 21 day fast as a House of Prayer. This year we will be focusing on the First Commandment with the purpose of setting aside a season to focus on the Lord first and foremost, above all other things.
“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’”  Matthew 22:37
What are we praying for?
  • Personal growth in the knowledge of God (Ephesians 1:17-19 )
  • Personal increase of passion and devotion to the Lord (1 Thessalonians 3:10-13)
  •  Convergence House of Prayer (transition, singers, musicians, intercessors)
How can I be involved

As this is a corporate fast, we are encouraging everyone to participate as the Lord would lead.  There will be a sign up in the cHOP foyer THIS Sunday where you can sign up to commit to pray for a specific block of time in the Prayer Room.  Take some time this week to pray and ask the Lord how you should fast. We have many resources available to assist you (see below).

Additionally, God wants to meet you personally.  Do you need healing in an area of your life?  Do you need spiritual breakthrough?  Do you need financial provision?  Take these needs before the Lord in your time of fasting and prayer.  He will be faithful to meet you as you commit your heart to Him.

If we do not invest in growing in love for God, our ability to respond to God in love diminishes.  -Mike Bickle
